REQUIREMENTS FOR MONTANA EMT'S

Must have a valid driver's license.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Have proof of high school diploma or equivalent.

Have proof of placement results (i.e. ACCUPLACER or ASSET).

Have proof of vaccinations (Mumps, Hepatitis B, Measles, etc..).

Must obtain TDAP vaccine against Diptheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus.

Pass a drug test.

Pass a background check.

Must be physically/mentally sound to perform essential duties.

Must hold a CPR certification.


TRAINING COURSEWORK

An EMT candidate must complete training courses to qualify for required examinations.  The training program coursework entails preparing EMT's to deal with pre-hospital medical care procedures.
